Colonizatuon buddy, you are just not very good at that. Interesting ideas, interesting characters, ridiculously slow pace. While humans were still behind the race in technology, they learned fast and were wily opponents.

Other books in the series. I do find that Turtledove tends to repeat information in his books to often, its not like his readers can’t remember information from one book to another!

They were totally caught off-guard by the rate at which humans had advanced in technology. The Lizards do not do anything by half-measures; the colonization fleet has several hundred million colonizatioh on board. I’m definitely reading the next in the series.

Finishes with no climax – obviously the series was one book cut into three. The specter of a Germany and France that have been under the Nazis’ thumb for two decades is also deeply unpleasant. Thanks for telling us about the problem. A sevond war is in play.

Bad enough with all of the copulating going on in the first four books! There is very little action in this tome and with the myriad of characters it can be tough going to keep up.

This time, the terrible haryr of defeat will be the conquest of our world, and perhaps the extinction of the human race harrg.
