And the more hopeless the world in the artist’s version, the more clearly perhaps must we see the ideal that stands in opposition – otherwise life becomes impossible! I loved the book – Tarkovsky is a surprisingly good writer – and I took from it a lot with regards to movie making, the relatio ships between the director and the actors, the audience and transmitting enough info I like movies.
