More than a little dated but an interesting and amusing read. No actual linguistic structure is really The Language of Clothes. She has three grown sons and three grandchildren. Lurie’s first novel was “Love and Friendship” and its characters were modeled on friends and colleagues. The classic book about the clothes we wear and what they say about us. And I couldn’t have done my thesis without Alison Lurie’s wonderful book.
